Shopping Tips

Spring is here, well almost.  The way this winter has been 35 degrees is the new 50!  I have been looking at spring clothes online for months and have come to accept that someday in a galaxy far away I may be able to wear something that shows my ankle.  For those of you who live in that far off galaxy I thought I would share a few shopping tips as you head out to add something other than wool to your wardrobe. 1. Do a little online browsing ahead of time.  It’s good to know what’s trending, what stores are a hit or miss and what items will compliment the clothes you already own.  This will also help keep you from ... view the post

Today is a gift…

In the past few weeks I have heard of several heart wrenching incidents where young lives were taken suddenly and what seems like all too soon.  Leaving families and communities grieving beautiful and youthful lives.  Thinking of these stories has left me with a loss for words and pondering the fragility of life and our time here on earth. Before...and after...   ... view the post

Hidden Motherhood

This is an old article and slightly dated originally posted at Catholic Exchange, but thought I would post it on my blog in case it is of help or support in any way to other women experiencing the pain of miscarriage and loss.  Since having written this, two more babies have gone to be with Our Lord.  Reading through this makes me want to take out my edit pen and rewrite it, but these were the words that were on my heart at that time and so I guess they will be... Each year Mother’s Day brings upon me mixed emotions, I feel much gratitude and joy for my amazing mother and grandmother who have helped to shape me ... view the post

Welcome to Everyday Ann

Welcome to Everyday Ann, so glad you stopped in!  I have been meaning to start a blog for years, literally years and now all well intention put aside it has finally come to fruition.  Here you will find writing about faith, marriage, femininity, infertility, adoption, a little fashion and if I am feeling crafty a couple of DIY.  I may even surprise you with a recipe, but more unlikely it won’t be an original.  I am not a foodie, just a wife making her husband something substantial to curb his appetite. ... view the post
