The Rhythm of Life

…or lack there of!

I haven’t abandoned this part of the online world and apologize for my almost month absence. It’s amazing how fast the day goes, before I know it I am scrambling to make dinner and getting the boys ready for bed. Four months into life with 3 kiddos and I am still trying to get into a routine and find a rhythm to our day. I am also realizing part of it is just life with children, always the unexpected and never a dull moment!

Still green to motherhood having only been on the job for 16 months I am learning a lot. Learning a lot about myself and learning how much I admire all of you moms who have multiple children and still keep everyone fed and breathing!

Motherhood is sure to reveal your weaknesses, stretch you to your limit and give you a whole new meaning to sacrifice. The last to eat the cold dinner left in the pan and the last to use the bathroom as you nurse the crying baby.

Yet, motherhood also fills you with a joy and a love never before experienced. Your heart stretches as it loves in  a new and profound way. Amazed at the lives entrusted to my care. Humbled by the high honor bestowed in raising little souls, shaping their lives and giving them the best foundation for the future.

In a society that writes off the vocation of motherhood and devalues its worth, is poorly mistaken. For it is the women nurturing the hearts, souls and minds of their children making the greatest impact. We may not be able to change the world, but we can transform our piece of it and show our children how to do the same.

Happy (belated, belated…) and Blessed Mother’s Day!!
