Our First Trip

...to the ER that is! I knew it was bound to happen with two very active boys and 16 months in we found ourselves at the ER. I am guessing it is the first of more to come being there was another close call later last night. It was around 5:30pm, just finished getting supper ready to throw in the oven and Aaron was going to be home late. I was nursing Grace and the boys were picking up and running around like mad men as they always seem to do right before supper. Ethan grabbed a hold of Kolbe and told him to run! As Kolbe ran in circles Ethan flew off, I heard a loud bang and instant crying. Knowing he probably ... view the post

The Things They Say

Sometimes I wish I could get inside their little brains to know what they are thinking, because the things they come up with always amaze me! Kolbe: Mommy, can you please change lanes your driving is making me nervous. Helping Ethan with a math problem and asking him to show me 7 fingers. E: Please be patient, I will. K: Thanks for making the yummy rhubarb cake I really appreciate it! Eating jalapenos. E: I think I am going to die now! K: My mouth is burnt! Watching the second hand on a clock. K: It's always working, it never gets a break! Wanting to do cartwheels in the living room where ... view the post

A Quick Roundup

1. Yay, it's Friday!!! Even as a stay-at-home mom I love my Fridays and weekends, they never get old, ever. Joining Kelly for some quick (and brief) takes and a few too many pictures. 2. This week I found myself short on time and sleep. Grace decided her 2 month gig of sleeping through the night was over. Just as her brother fell under the weather and needed some extra snuggles from mom at 2:00am and then again at 5:00am for the past three nights. 3. Baby's first selfie! Welcome to the era you were born into sweet baby girl. 4. We have a monster rhubarb plant and I am now first getting around to doing ... view the post

Changing It Up

When putting together Grace's room I wanted a changing table that also functioned as a dresser. We discovered an old dresser at my in-laws, which they said we could have. It also happened to be the perfect height for a changing table. Turns out it is an antique dating back to Aaron's great-grandfather. We found a delivery tag attached to the back with his name on it, love the history! My husband is handy with woodworking, but neither of us were exactly sure how we would refinish it. I loved the vintage look and wanted to keep it as close to it's original state as possible, but also wanted to freshen it up a ... view the post

In Summary

Doing a Friday roundup with Kelly on the latest and greatest from our abode. 1. I have gone from baseball wife to baseball mom and enjoying every minute! Although you may want to ask me again in two months when the season is over and I am exhausted from all the running. Having a baby in tow this year has made things a bit more complex, but I don't want to miss a minute of it. My heart melts every single time when the boys get a good hit, because they always look back at me with a big smile on their face making sure I saw them and looking for my applause. 2. Yesterday was a pretty big deal for our little sluggers ... view the post
