The Things They Say

So this may turn into a regular series, because the things they say are just too hilarious and heart warming not to share! I am also in awe of how well they are catching onto English. It is so neat to see them formulating sentences and phrases.

Kolbe has recently been telling me about how he would like a baby sister. The other night he decided to give me a lesson on the birds and the bees.
K: Mommy if you just eat a lot then your stomach will grow and a baby will just come out!!

Last week there was a salesman at our door trying to sell me on dry shampooing my carpet. He asked if he could come in and look at our carpet, I politely told him I wasn’t interested.
E: What was the man for?
Me: He wanted to look at our carpet.
E: Tell him go look at your own carpet.

While playing outside.
Me: Kolbe are you cold, would you like a coat?
K: Oh, I am not too bad.

Reinforcing his letter recognition after using the restroom and pointing at it proudly.
E: Look mommy!! It’s a T!!!

We recently bought a mini-van and the boys were so, so eager to ride in it and asking me every hour.
Me: We need to make sure we have insurance on it first.
K: Lets call daddy at work.
Me: Okay, sure.
(Dial and hand him the phone.)
K: Daddy you got the insurance yet?

Talking about what months their birthdays are in.
K: Jesus is in heaven now, but on my birthday he will come down to my party.

If the Second Coming happens on his birthday, you’ll get a big “I told you so”.

So cute! LOL. This reminds me of the You tube videos called “Convos with my 2 year old” which has turned to with my 3 and then 4 year old. Hilarious! You should check it out. This is such a wonderful age of learning and innocent curiosity. They definitely give us a new perspective on everything. Enjoy the fun!
