A multi-night vacation is not in the books for us this summer, but we have kept busy doing a lot of day-cations. This past weekend we did a day trip to the zoo, something we have been wanting to do since last summer. It was lots and lots of walking and the boys did incredibly well. Not once did they complain, instead they were always eager to see the next exhibit.
I loved seeing the excitement the boys had as we arrived and their continued amazement seeing each animal. Their eyes lit up as they saw in real life the animals they have been reading about in books. It was fun for them to learn about all of the animals that live in Africa.
Favorites were the elephants, giraffes, lions and bears! I will throw in the flamingos as well, since I enjoyed seeing them and guessing Grace did too.
