living the ordinary seeing the extraordinary

Although it’s snowing and blowing outside with a lovely 5 inches of snow today, seeing multiple days of 45 in the forecast has given me spring fever!! Since welcoming the boys home I haven’t had time to do my usual browsing on the web of fashion and finds, but can’t resist looking at the bright colors that the near season brings!

A few items to add some color to transition the grays and blacks of winter to spring.

Very lovely! I’m definitely done with winter and looking forward to spring. My daughter was talking about summer in such a luxurious way I couldn’t help but get excited about the warmer weather. Growing up in NY we used to flock outside like crazy when the weather was nice which was rare enough. Now I see people in NC flocking out when the rare snowfalls come. It’s funny, but the longer I am here the more I act the same. Every season in every state is something special though I think. the long winters in Wisconsin I’m sure make you appreciate the lovely spring and life even more. What a beautiful contrast! As Garrison Keillor said once, God put only the toughest people in the Midwest where the toughest winters are. He made Florida and other parts of the south warm because those people wouldn’t be able to handle the cold. So here’s to you braving the cold and still patiently waiting for the change of season. Enjoy your spring dreamin’!
