The Things They Say

Sometimes I wish I could get inside their little brains to know what they are thinking, because the things they come up with always amaze me!

Kolbe: Mommy, can you please change lanes your driving is making me nervous.

Helping Ethan with a math problem and asking him to show me 7 fingers.
E: Please be patient, I will.

K: Thanks for making the yummy rhubarb cake I really appreciate it!

Eating jalapenos.
E: I think I am going to die now!
K: My mouth is burnt!

Watching the second hand on a clock.
K: It’s always working, it never gets a break!

Wanting to do cartwheels in the living room where Grace was laying.
E: Mom, can you please move your doll?

After Grace’s baptism.
K: She will dream of the angels tonight.

E: Mommy, can I please marry you when I grow up?
Me: Well, l am already married to daddy.
E: Okay, I will marry Grace.

K: I can’t decide if I should pray for twins or just one baby for now.

Pointing to my stomach.
E: I can see your leftovers from Grace.

In the checkout line at the grocery store.
K: Mommy, don’t stand with your arms crossed you look like you have a pregnant belly.

Seeing Grace and I in dresses getting ready for Mass.
E: You look like princesses!

K: If it’s God’s will for me to be a fireman, can I please be a fireman?
